The Town of Mandale is located in the central part of North Carolina in the Piedmont Region. The town is situated on the banks of the Haw River and is bordered by the towns of Elon and Graham. The city was founded in 1856 by a group of settlers from Virginia who purchased the land from the Saura Indians. Information can be found here.

The city was named after the Saura Indian chief, Mandale. The town grew slowly at first but began to flourish after the arrival of the Carolina Central Railroad in 1858. Mandale is a charming town with a rich history. The city is home to numerous historical buildings, including the Mandal Mill, which was built in 1858 and is now on the National Register of Historic Places. The town is also home to the historic mandate Methodist Church, founded in 1856. The church is still in use today and is home to a vibrant congregation. The town is also home to the Mandal Museum, which houses a collection of artifacts from the town’s history.
